Arco Raises £487 For Local Children's Charity

C4DI Corporate Members Arco organised a day of fundraising activities at their Digital Department offices, which raised almost £500 for local organisation Child Dynamix.

"We put on a day of Nintendo Wii tournaments and a bake-off," Jon Baker, Systems Analyst at the safety wear and equipment company, tells us.

"It was a fantastic day and with sponsorship from Nibble and other Hull-based companies,  we were able to offer some brilliant prizes to the winners, raising the stakes when it came to people digging in their pockets for donation money."

On the day, the team raised an incredible £243.50, which Arco then match-funded to double the figure and provide even more support to Child Dynamix.

Businesses large and small are being urged to enter the 2018 Hull Digital Awards.

Run by Hull Live and KCOM, and supported by the city’s C4DI, the awards give fledgling start-ups and established companies alike the chance to showcase their talents in one of the city’s most exciting sectors.

The deadline for entries is August 5, and Hull’s digital ambassador has said businesses would be “foolish not to take advantage” of the opportunity.
