Software developers Arc Studios won the award for Best Digital Startup this year after being nominated for the award two years in a row. Creating bespoke software for local and international businesses, Arc Studios have evolved from 4 students in a bedroom to an 8-man team providing opportunities for interns and year in industry students to develop their talents and skills.
Victoria Parkinson is the Director of VSP Accountancy, a chartered accountancy service that specialises in small businesses and new start-ups. Previously working at a firm for twelve years, we met up with Victoria to find out why she became the in-house accountant for digital freelancers and tech start-ups at the C4DI.
One of the companies operating out of the C4DI is sobananapenguin, a digital marketing agency. Its primary specialism is copywriting, which is then applied to the delivery of a variety of complementary services, including blog posts, social media management, email campaigns and online PR.
