In this interview we hear from Sam Hoste, founder of Quantech Solutions, where agri-tech is today, how he’s making sure farms have the data they need, and how his vision aligns with C4DI’s. 

C4DI are delighted to see the news from DCMS of the announcement that Barclays have been successful in winning the tender for the Digital Growth Grant, to deliver a range of digital services across the UK.

C4DI are very proud to have supported the Barclays bid and are very much looking forward to working with them on the programme, continuing our long and established partnership with the Eagle Labs network across our sites in Yorkshire.

A couple of weeks ago, a team from C4DI travelled to Poland and spent some time in the Silesian area. Dave Keel, Bob Spence, Luke Thornton and John Connolly visited our legal team, our new facility in Katowice, as well as partners and businesses who are working together to develop the opportunities for C4DI Members.

Sewell Estates has announced Claire Harrison as the new CEO of Parallel Data Intelligence Limited.

Sewell Estates invested in Parallel alongside its public sector partner Community Health Partnerships in November 2020, after utilising its mapping tool on behalf of NHS and local authority customers.

C4DI member MediMusic received global coverage for their launch, thanks to a team of companies working under the same roof.

The collaborative effort between the Hull health tech start-up MediMusic, Larkin PR and Influence Media, all based at C4DI, planned and delivered the launch that saw international coverage on BBC Click, BBC World, BBC News Channel, BBC Radio 4’s PM Programme, Rory Cellan-Jones’ Tech Tent podcast and The Guardian with strong local coverage in the Hull Daily Mail, BBC Radio Humberside and the Yorkshire Post.

On day one of Hambleton Business week, we shared the C4DI story so far, and celebrated the official beginning of our Northallerton chapter. Smoothly hosted by our own Tina Swann, we heard from inspirational contributors across Hull, Hambleton and beyond, as well as opening the floor to questions and ideas.

Bringing her expertise and passion for both project management and tech, Linsey tells us she’s looking forward to the exciting journey ahead: “I’ll be making sure that whatever projects we’re working on, we’re using the best of the resources that we can to deliver them.”

Linsey will soon be a familiar face at C4DI. You’ll mainly find her around our Hull site, working closely with the community and playing a key role in helping tech companies to grow and traditional businesses to innovate.

Technology and environmental specialists AmbaSat have joined the C4DI community with a mission to give every individual, student, engineer and explorer the opportunity to build and launch their very own satellite into space.

C4DI-based Operance is working with some of the country’s leading social housing organisations, architects and developers in a Government-led initiative to ensure there is never a repeat of the Grenfell Tower disaster.
