On December 16 2016, we opened the doors to our gold-cladded digital hub, welcoming startups and tech firms to our space with the aim of helping them to innovate, collaborate, grow and succeed.

Wykeland Group has submitted plans to complete its @TheDock tech campus in Hull’s Fruit Market creative quarter to accelerate the growth of one of the UK’s leading digital clusters. The multi-million pounds investment is aimed at reinforcing Hull’s status as a centre of digital excellence and providing the space and facilities for tech companies to continue to collaborate and grow.

The C4DI-based startup specialises in a clever technology that collects data from urban traffic patterns, with the aim to provide solutions to some of the biggest challenges our cities face, such as air pollution, safety and congestion.

Luke Thornton, digital content wizard at Influence Media, has recently signed an exciting contract with one of the city’s classic institutions – Hull Kingston Rovers.

As part of our exciting partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs, we’re welcoming David Summerbell to the C4DI team.

You may have already spotted David around the coworking area, but we thought we’d get to know him a bit more, as well as take a closer look at his role.

As you may have heard at last week’s Elevensies, our fantastic Community Manager Dileepa Ranawake has moved on to an exciting new role with another tech company.

After a weekend of innovation and technical achievement, two talented local teams were announced as the Hull winners of the international NASA Space Apps challenge 2018.

Coders, developers and innovation enthusiasts flocked to C4DI over the weekend to take part in the NASA Space Apps challenge Hull, an annual hackathon event that happens all over the world, bringing together great minds to solve real-world problems with tech…

Last night, we hosted a very special event at the stunning Hull Minster.

Over 270 people turned up to celebrate with us, as we launched our partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs.

If you missed out on a ticket, we’ve rounded up the evening below. But, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to get involved in this fantastic opportunity for the city and the digital community.

This year’s Hull Digital Awards celebrated so many innovative tech projects and startups, and we’re proud to say that many of them are based in our very own building.

Good2Learn bagged Best Digital Startup for their pioneering educational platform that aims to bridge the gap between classroom and home learning.

We caught up with founder Paul Mandalia to find out more about their success since launching in spring this year…
