The end of March saw schools close their doors to most of their pupils for the foreseeable future, meaning that many families are now faced with homeschooling responsibilities, while teachers provide remote support and learning materials.

Two businesses within C4DI who specialise in education are working tirelessly to provide much-needed support to schools, teachers, parents and their children.

C4DI-based product design, 3D printing and rapid manufacturing company NFire Labs has launched a campaign to supply much-needed FFP3 Masks and Face Shields to the healthcare professionals for the fight against COVID-19.

All UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £20 million to respond to new and urgent needs in UK and global communities during and following the Covid-19 pandemic. So if you are developing apps or software or involved in any way in producing something that might help to combat the impact of Covid-19 in any way then this may be of help to you. C4DI is the people in our community.

It’s not the brick walls, or even the gold-cladding; it’s our members – the people who continuously collaborate, share ideas and drive innovation.

Determining an approach for social media can be tricky during these tough times. So, if you would like to chat about your social media strategy, content or have a question you’d like answering, I’m offering FREE 20-minute calls to anyone who would like some advice this week.

In light of the Government update on Friday, please see below a summary of the current employer guidance summarised into FAQ’s.  If you would like to discuss any points further please do not hesitate to get in touch.  We have also drafted some template letters for employers to issue to employees to confirm their furlough status.  Please get in touch if you would like them.

We have an upcoming Webinar – Philip’s aim is to show members that there is support available to help them with any aspect of maintaining and growing business, looking for new markets, clients or industries, raising their profile, maximising business in times of uncertainty etc. He’s also offering to any companies who would like to go into more detail on a 121 basis, he can then have a 30 minute session with them on another date.

During the uncertainty that lies ahead, VSP are on hand to offer advice and answer any questions C4DI members may have due to the Covid-19 virus and how is is affecting their business.

As a member of the C4DI community too we will help any member work through the range of government support packages outlined in recent announcements.

During the period we’re being advised to work from home we are still available for any questions on Mobile, Email and Skype. We’re also putting regular updates on the VSP Accountancy facebook page for anyone who would like to follow us.
