Neil Curtis is Director of CTOP Ltd, an umbrella company for various digital projects and eCommerce ventures. 

One of these projects is Kid Transit, a parent and baby brand that sells car accessories, which was set up on Amazon in 2014. Since then, the range has expanded to offer six different products in an array of colours and specifications.

The entrepreneur also runs a variety of affiliate websites, which promote other Amazon sellers’ products to generate a small commission. So far, this has proven very successful and there are already plans to expand a number of the sites, developing related CTOP-branded products.  

CTOP has also given work experience opportunities to local students, working closely with the University of Hull to provide paid internships to those aspiring to further their careers in business and marketing. 

Being a member of the C4DI has not only provided Neil with an innovative environment in which to work, but has also enabled him to team up with John Cant. The pair have combined their expertise in Amazon selling and come up with a bespoke service to Amazon UK sellers that manages their Amazon Japan accounts, from the initial setup to translation of listings and even dealing with customer queries.

In the future, Neil hopes to take on more of a mentorship role, advising those who want to start their own eCommerce businesses.
