HullPixelBots Are Here – Digital Technology Meets Art!

In case you were wondering what it is about…

Expect to see more of these things wandering around C4DI in the coming months.  The Hardware Meetup is designing and building robots with lights to create a unique display as part of City of Culture 2017.

The idea is simple – build a robot platform carrying LEDs that will exhibit particular behaviours.  Stand back (in the dark) to enjoy a very unusual art form.

The plan is to have many HullPixelBots so if you would like to get involved we need more builders and software developers.  The chassis can be provided and the components together cost less than £10.

Rob Miles is the creator and for more details see his blog: http://www.robmiles.com/hullpixelbot/ or talk to Robin Harris or Mike Clarke.
