Frontier is looking for an Events Manager to lead and deliver Frontier’s senior-level, energy events. The role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The candidate must have a strong track-record at delivering B2B events both in-person and in online formats from inception through to delivery and follow-up. This is a challenging yet rewarding role within a high-paced environment working with a small, dedicated, and passionate team of professionals. The Role

We are looking for an Events Manager. If you want to make a difference to a small team and be part of the global energy industry, we would love to hear from you.

This is an exciting and key position and is an opportunity to shape the future of Frontier as we carve out our place in the global energy industry. You will be tasked with shaping and delivering the in-person and online events for our Membership, Global Summits, and Frontier Services as well as working on new events and forums.

The Role Involves

  • Leading and delivering all the planning and operational elements of our events.

  • Working closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams.

  • Ensure events meet their goals on-time and on budget.

  • Working with the senior team to provide improvements and suggestions.

  • Working with the senior team to provide ideas for new events and forums.

    The role reports directly to the COO and is hybrid. This includes a part home-working and part office in Northallerton, North Yorkshire where Frontier has an office within the C4DI community and innovation hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reliable, well thought-through forward planning for all events, both in-person and in online formats.

  • Event budgeting and managing to budgets.

  • Coordinate all operations pre, during and post events.

  • Selection and management of sub-contractors and on-site staff.

  • Speaker management both in advance of events and during events.

  • Ensure all stakeholder’s expectations are met both in advance of events and during events (sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, delegates etc).

  • Positive contributions to the creative process of event development.

  • Measure and track success, reporting back regularly on KPI’s.

  • Contributing to overall Frontier strategy where events are concerned.

Knowledge and Experience

Experience managing multiple projects and events simultaneously.

  • More than 5-years' experience of senior-level B2B event planning,

    management, operations, and delivery.

  • In-person and online event experience.

  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, is

    extremely organised and self-motivated.

  • Can seamlessly shift gears pending priorities.

  • Is a problem solver and solution finder.

  • Has a hands-on approach and a positive outlook.

  • Is passionate about delivering excellent event and experiences.

Skills

  • Team player, good with people and a good communicator.

  • Organised and analytical with good attention to detail.

  • Hands-on approach.

  • Advanced MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience of event technology and platforms will be a plus.

  • Seek to constantly find improvements.

  • All-rounder, prepared to wear more than one hat.

  • Self-starter who can take the initiative and does not wait to be told.
