 C4DI Beta Satellite Programme

We are delighted to announce we have been successfully awarded funding to help support part of the delivery of the C4DI Beta Satellite Programme, working in partnership with North Yorkshire Council and Barclays Eagle Labs.

The £12 million Digital Growth Grant, funded by UK Government, aims to support the growth of the digital sector. Barclays Eagle Labs are delivering a number of programmes, including the Ecosystem Partnership Programme, supporting organisations already embedded in their local entrepreneurial ecosystem to help boost their support to tech and digital businesses.

C4DI Northallerton has gained significant momentum within the rural economy around Northallerton, having worked with a range of digital technology businesses to support the growth of traditional industries in the region. We are keen to expand the programme across other rural sites within North Yorkshire. We wish to build upon the ongoing success of our dedicated programmes which offer tailored support for grassroots tech businesses; promoting innovation and growth across a range of sectors.

What is the C4DI Beta Satellite Programme?

The C4DI Beta Satellite Programme establishes three new hyperlocal focal points across North Yorkshire, based within existing venues in Harrogate and Knaresborough, Scarborough and Whitby, and Selby and Ainsty. We will leverage the existing C4DI community and focus on:

  • Building a community that helps bring together a diverse and wide range of skilled digital experts with traditional businesses.

  • Support for existing digital communities within these areas enabling access to supply chains that C4DI has across the UK, Central Europe and North America.

  • Providing opportunities for local traditional businesses to tap into digital skills and products to help their businesses grow from businesses across our ecosystem.

  • Providing opportunities for digital businesses to access new work opportunities within the surrounding traditional businesses sector. Subsequently, digital businesses will grow and impact the local economy by helping traditional businesses accelerate.

What does the programme include?

The overall programme will have a clear emphasis on growth within the digital sector, through ongoing connectivity, advice and guidance. The key features of the project will include:

  • Digitals audit of each participating business.

  • Digital workshops and networking events in each area.

  • Digital Champions from within the C4DI community offering one to one support with participating businesses.

  • Access to North Yorkshire Council’s Digital Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Grant. For more information on the Digital Apprenticeship funding, click this link to be redirected to North Yorkshire Council's website.
