Based at Service Headquarters – 37 hours per week, Permanent.

Our focus is on keeping communities in the Humber area safe, keeping our fire fighters safe and contributing to the firefighting capability and rescue capabilities of the United Kingdom.

As part of this, we are seeking to appoint an ICT Infrastructure & Technical Manager to be responsible for leading and inspiring a specialist ICT team. The successful applicant will support delivery of the Service’s ICT Strategy with key accountability for networks and telephony, security and email, server and desktop, storage and virtualisation delivering a clear roadmap and plan from an enterprise and day-to-day user perspective.  They will also provide specialist technical support to ensure the successful deployment of projects whilst delivering a highly effective ICT service. You will lead a team covering a wide range of technical disciplines and specialisms, as well as working as part of the ICT Leadership Team, engaging with users in order to ensure that the Service’s ICT function is well-managed, user focused, modern, streamlined and efficient in delivering excellent value for money. This post will support the Head of ICT in the overall delivery of ICT to ensure the Service functions technically 24/7 to deliver critical services.

The right candidate will have strong up to date technical knowledge, will have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines, while delivering service excellence to our users. You will be a self-starter and also the ability to work in an agile and flexible way to deliver of ICT projects.
