3rdLine Support Engineer
Right here – in Hull – we develop some of the most critical software and infrastructure for the national emergency services. About the 3rdLine Support Engineer job
At APD we love all things tech! Our 3rdLine Support Engineers are part of theResolver Group which is part of the Operations function and supports the Customer Support and Service Delivery Teams in providing fast, efficient and effective Project and Support services to customers across APD’s CORTEX, SmartContact, ASPIRE, ARTEMIS and CONNECT product ranges. 3rdLine Support Engineers are the top of the tree when it comes to tech solutions know how.
You would be the technical expert and acting as the first point of contact for technical advice and support for Operations functions, should these functions be unable to resolve an issue either remotely, on site or whilst installing software on the staging rig.
What you will own / do and how you will grow
· Technical Expert – the go to support for internal teams
· Creating work packs for other teams
· Streamlining procedures / Continuous improvements to reduce work times
· Managing projects
· Proactive and reactive technical support
What you have already done
· A wealth of IT management and support
· IP Addressing
· DHCP and DNS theory, configuration and management
· Server 2012/ 2016 Installation / Configuration / Management / Support (including patching)
· Experience with deployment methods such as WSUS, WDS and SCCM
